Anniversary: ABT CUPRA ahead of its 100th Formula E race
From the surprise victory in the first race in Formula E history in 2014 to two titles in seasons three and four and the comeback after a one-year break last season: ABT will contest its 100th Formula E race in Mexico on Saturday. Stickers with the anniversary logo on the car and in the garage as well as a team photo before the first track action are small signs of the celebrations. Incidentally, this will be Lucas di Grassi’s 85th race with ABT and the number 16 for Nico Müller.

Premiere: DF1 broadcasts Formula E with Daniel Abt at the microphone

After the surprising withdrawal of ProSieben, the new channel DF1, which took over the license from ServusTV, is the new home of the championship in Germany. The ServusTV team will be on location in Mexico for the first time with presenter Andreas Gröbl, while Daniel Abt will be commentating from the studio in Salzburg with Daniel Goggi.

Love of his homeland: Lucas di Grassi unveils new helmet design
With his new helmet design, which Lucas di Grassi has unveiled at the season opener in Mexico, the Brazilian pays homage to his homeland and racing legend Ayrton Senna. “The design with the stripes is basically the same, but now it’s the Brazilian colours – which also match my car perfectly,” says di Grassi.

Behind the scenes: “Unplugged” tells the story of the ABT comeback

Company profile of ABT Sportsline

As the world’s largest specialist for automotive aftermarket and performance parts for the Audi, VW, Seat, CUPRA and Skoda brands, the name ABT Sportsline is world-renowned. The product line ranges from more engine power to body kits, over suspensions and interior design, to an extensive collection of alloy wheels. However, the Bavaria-based company, which has its roots in 1896, stands for much more. Today, several attractive subsidiaries with a total of 210 employees join forces under the umbrella of ABT SE. In doing so, they elegantly combine innovation and tradition. When it comes to drivetrain technology, the German company always has its finger on the pulse of the times: through ABT e-Line GmbH, the areas of electric and alternative mobility are covered as a further strong pillar of the company. And of course ABT Sportsline also stands for top-level motorsport, as it always has. This is demonstrated by the success story in the DTM, which continues right up to the present day, as well as the current involvement in the forward-looking electric racing series Extreme E and Formula E.
