ABT RS3-S as Sportback and Saloon with 460 hp

ABT is not only a hit with fans of customised vehicle refinement, but also with those who appreciate perfectly tuned and sophisticated complete vehicles. In the premium compact class segment, the ABT RS3-R is one of the most powerful models in this league. With 500 hp (368 kW), the compact sports car from ABT Sportsline offers a full 100 hp more than the series version. Now, the Allgäu-based company has placed the ABT RS3-S between the series and the limited-edition premium compact from 2022. With 460 hp (338 kW) and a befitting aero package in carbon fibre, it represents the golden mean between the 400 hp Audi RS3 series model and the top model of this range from the world’s largest tuner for vehicles from the Audi and VW Group.

ABT Sportsline has put together an almost identical package for both body versions of the RS3-S – Sportback and Saloon – consisting of a performance upgrade, suspension modifications and visual optimisations to the body. The additional AEC control unit is primarily responsible for the increase in power and torque of 60 hp and 40 Newton metres, respectively. Another advantage: the standard control unit remains untouched, and the vehicle is fully diagnosable. Of course, the driving performance speaks for itself: thanks to the ABT Power S performance upgrade, both variants now sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a sporty 3.6 seconds. As an option, the standard top speed of 250 km/h can also be increased to 300 km/h! This requires only the registration and activation via the myABT app. A further 25 hp is also available on request, giving the RS3-S a total of 485 hp. The powerful sound of the 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine is emphasised by the 4 matt black ABT double end pipes in stainless steel with a diameter of 95 millimetres.

Thanks to special ABT suspension springs, the body is up to 30 millimetres lower, and the drive power is safely and permanently transferred to the road via the four ABT SPORT GR20 alloy wheels with the GOODYEAR Eagle F1 SuperSport in the 245/30 ZR20 format. Inspired by the racetrack, this tyre impresses with its outstanding handling on dry roads and exceptionally balanced performance in the wet.

Various features from ABT Sportsline perfectly round off the already sporty appearance ex works. Shiny black mudguard attachments and a rear skirt insert made of carbon fibre visibly enhance the appearance of both body variants of the compact sports car; the RS3-S Sportback also features a new rear roof spoiler in carbon fibre.

Harmoniously balanced accessories also add an individual touch to the interior. In addition to the ABT RS3-S emblem badge, the door entry lighting with ABT logo creates an appealing ambience. This is complemented by floor mats with the ABT RS3-S logo and an ABT start-stop switch flap for that special moment when the sonorous five-cylinder engine is brought to life. The enthusiasm for sporty automobiles is practically written on the bonnet of this successful overall composition.

For the ABT RS3-S Sportback, the package costs 17,900 euros gross plus assembly and MOT; for the Saloon, 16,600 euros gross plus assembly and MOT are due. The price includes the new ABT 5-year warranty. All information on the ABT warranty can be found at https://www.abt-sportsline.com/service-and-warranty.

Company profile of ABT Sportsline

As the world’s largest specialist for automotive aftermarket and performance parts for the Audi, VW, Lamborghini, Seat, CUPRA and Skoda brands, the name ABT Sportsline is world-renowned. The product line ranges from more engine power to body kits, over suspensions and interior design, to an extensive collection of alloy wheels. However, the Bavaria-based company, which has its roots in 1896, stands for much more. Today, several attractive subsidiaries with a total of 210 employees join forces under the umbrella of the ABT Group. In doing so, they elegantly combine innovation and tradition. When it comes to drivetrain technology, the German company always has its finger on the pulse of the times: through ABT e-Line GmbH, the areas of electric and alternative mobility are covered as a further strong pillar of the company. And of course ABT Sportsline also stands for top-level motorsport, as it always has. This is demonstrated by the success story in the DTM, which continues right up to the present day, as well as the current involvement in the forward-looking electric racing series Formula E.
