Berlin E-Prix: Chaotic race on Saturday
The fans in Berlin and those watching on TV were treated to a chaotic race on Saturday in which Lucas di Grassi and Kelvin van der Linde failed to score any points. After a strong qualifying session, the two drivers started the race from seventh and eleventh positions, but were then involved in collisions. While di Grassi had to retire his car early, van der Linde finished eleventh after changing the nose of his car. The second race in Berlin will start on Sunday at 15:00 CEST.

ABT CUPRA presents a new driver line-up this weekend: Kelvin van der Linde, who normally drives for ABT in the DTM and the 24-hour race on the Nordschleife, races alongside Lucas di Grassi. The 27-year-old South African competed in three Formula E races at the beginning of last season and made a strong impression and is part of the team this year as a reserve driver.

10 years in Berlin: ABT CUPRA as guest at the reception of the mayor and senator
Berlin is the only city where Formula E has been held in every single season since its inception in 2014. The city of Berlin, represented by Senator for the Interior and Sports Iris Spranger and Mayor Kai Wegner, hosted a reception at the Emotion Club on Friday afternoon. Among the guests were ABT CEO and Team Principal Thomas Biermaier and interview guest Lucas di Grassi, who has raced in Berlin for all ten years.

From the cockpit straight to the trip to Tempelhof: Nico Müller will be supporting his team from the garage in Berlin on Sunday. He completed the WEC race in Spa on Saturday and is now following the race day from an unusual perspective. The Swiss driver will certainly not be bored: in addition to his moral support, Muller will be on duty for various media and as an interview partner on the Emotion Club stage.
 
Live from Berlin: Daniel Abt and DF1 report live from the pit lane
Daniel Abt, one of Berlin’s most successful racing drivers, is returning to Tempelhof – not in the cockpit of a Formula E race car, but in front of a television camera. The German will work as an expert and co-commentator for DF1 and ServusTV, which will broadcast Formula E live in Germany and Austria. This weekend, however, he will not be in the studio but live in the paddock.
 
Rookies take over: Tim Tramnitz and Ricarco Feller to compete on Monday
On Monday, the traditional rookie test will take place in Berlin, where drivers who have never competed in a Formula E race before will get their chance in the cockpit. For ABT CUPRA, Formula 3 driver and Red Bull Junior Tim Tramnitz and ABT DTM driver Ricardo Feller will take over the cars with the starting numbers 11 and 51. Sessions of three hours each are scheduled for the morning and afternoon.
