If it could be a little more: ABT gives the Audi RS 3 a power injection and approaches the 500 hp mark

The Audi RS 3 is the most powerful representative of Audi’s compact class. Last year ABT Sportsline, the world’s largest tuner of vehicles from the VW Group, turned up the heat on this model and gave it a powerful performance boost. Now the Kempten-based company is going one better.

ABT Power R performance enhancement is the name of the technology that ABT Sportsline is now giving the Audi RS 3. After the work of the ABT specialists, the 2.5 TFSI engine in the Audi RS 3 (Saloon and Sportback) now produces 357 kW, or 485 hp, instead of 294 kW (400 hp).

The ABT engineers carried out the same work on the Saloon and Sportback of the limited special model Audi RS 3 Performance. This also has a 2.5 TFSI engine under the bonnet, but with a standard output of 299 kW (407 hp). This is also increased to 357 kW (485 PS) with the ABT Power R performance upgrade. In both models, the torque increases by 60 Nm at the same time.

Of course, the Audi RS 3 presented last year is also still available with the ABT Power S. In this version, the compact sports car produces 38 kW (460 hp) and has 40 Nm more torque than the standard model.

All models are compatible with the myABT app. This allows insights into the performance data of the vehicle. The app also enables the optional activation of the top speed of 300 km/h.

Of course, ABT Sportsline also offers suspension optimisations for these RS 3 models with ABT suspension springs, sports stabilisers or threaded or sports suspension. Visually, these RS 3 models can be further upgraded with the ABT GR 20 glossy black wheel. ABT Sportline also has a lot to offer for the interior. In any case, it is worth taking a look at the ABT Sportsline configurator to put together your personal favourite model.

*The engine performance figures comply with the requirements of EEC/80/1269. The procedure and the test bench manufacturer have been verified and approved by the vehicle manufacturer. You can find further details on https://www.abt-sportsline.com/performance-measurement.

*CO2 emissions: combined 393 g/km according to the calculation formula under the explanatory notes to Appendix 2 of Article 44 of EU Directive 858/2018.

Company profile of ABT Sportsline

As the world’s largest specialist for automotive aftermarket and performance parts for the Audi, VW, Seat, CUPRA and Skoda brands, the name ABT Sportsline is world-renowned. The product line ranges from more engine power to body kits, over suspensions and interior design, to an extensive collection of alloy wheels. However, the Bavaria-based company, which has its roots in 1896, stands for much more. Today, several attractive subsidiaries with a total of 210 employees join forces under the umbrella of the ABT Group. In doing so, they elegantly combine innovation and tradition. When it comes to drivetrain technology, the German company always has its finger on the pulse of the times: through ABT e-Line GmbH, the areas of electric and alternative mobility are covered as a further strong pillar of the company. And of course ABT Sportsline also stands for top-level motorsport, as it always has. This is demonstrated by the success story in the DTM, which continues right up to the present day, as well as the current involvement in the forward-looking electric racing series Extreme E and Formula E.
